Changing your cat's recipe selection

How can I update or change my cat’s recipes in my KatKin account?

Updated over 3 weeks ago

We currently have 7 recipes available to choose from if your cat doesn’t have any allergies (6 if you’re lucky enough to have a kitten).

Each recipe available in your account is balanced and complete for your cat, so you don’t need to feed any supplementary food or add additional ingredients.

Through your online KatKin account, you can customise your cat’s meal plan to suit their preferences, dietary needs, and changing tastes over time. Below, you will find clear steps to update or modify recipes through your KatKin account, as well as guidelines for specific scenarios.

How to change your cat’s recipes

To update your cat’s recipes in your KatKin account:

  1. Log in to your KatKin Account: Navigate to the account portal through the KatKin website at Katkin.com/login.

  2. Access your active plans: - Go to the "Manage Plan" section.

  3. Choose the cat whose recipes you'd like to update - click "Manage Plan" for the cat whose recipes you’d like to amend

  4. Choose Recipes: - Select the recipes you want included in your cat’s meal plan. KatKin offers several recipes, and you can mix and match to find the best options for your cat. - You can swap one or more recipes at any time to see what your cat prefers.

    1. You’ll need to first decrease some of the recipes in your box, before you can increase others. You’ll need to choose a combination of either 14, 28 or 42 trays in total depending on your plan type.

  5. Save Changes: - Once you’ve made your selections, save the changes to apply them to your upcoming delivery.

  6. You’ll need to do this for each cat, if you’d like to change multiple plans.

Note: Changes must be made before midnight, three days prior to your next scheduled delivery. For example, if your delivery is scheduled for Thursday, you have until 11:59pm on Monday to change your cat's recipes. You can also delay your delivery to allow more time for updates.

You should receive a confirmation email once your recipe selection has been saved. If you don’t receive this within a few hours, check back on your selection.

You can change your recipes as often as you’d like, at no additional cost.

Top Tip! We don’t recommend adding more than 5 trays of a new recipe to your box, to give your cat time to try the food and reduce wastage.

If we’ve taken a payment from you in the past 48 hours, any recipe changes you make won’t apply to your next delivery, as the cut off deadline would have passed.

Adjusting Recipes for Specific Dietary Needs

If your cat has specific dietary requirements, such as allergies (e.g., poultry), we've made it easy to accommodate these:

  1. Log into your account and navigate to the "Recipes" section.

  2. You'll only be shown recipes which are safe for your cat to eat, based on any allergies listed on their profile.

  3. Select recipes that meet your cat’s dietary needs (e.g., non-poultry options).

  4. Confirm and save your choices to ensure the updates apply to the next orders.

Reactivating a Plan and Changing Recipes

If you’ve recently reactivated your KatKin plan and want to update your cat’s recipes:

  1. Access your account and go to the "Amend recipe selection" section for your cat.

  2. Select the recipes you wish to include in your plan.

  3. Save the changes, which will apply to your next box if we haven't taken a payment.

If you've chosen an ASAP delivery date when reactivating, a payment will be automatically processed within 30 minutes. We recommend changing your recipe selection straight away after reactivating to ensure changes are applied to your next order.

Adjusting Recipes After Delivery

At KatKin, your online account means you have the power and flexibility to customising future deliveries at any time:

  • You can reduce or increase specific recipes in your plan (e.g., less Cluck, more Splash or Quack).

  • If you'd like to change the total amount of recipes in your cat's box, you'll need to adjust their plan instead.
