Great news! Because raw cat food, like KatKin, is often 100% fresh meat, the transition to KatKin should be nice and easy for your cat.
So, when switching to Katkin, we recommend following the same steps in our switching guide. You might even find that mixing their raw food with their new KatKin together in the same dish, as the taste will be very similar.
Raw cat food naturally contains bacteria that KatKin doesn’t (because our gentle cooking method is hot enough to kill bacteria and gentle enough to protect nutrients) so continue to maintain a clean environment while raw food is still present.
We don’t recommend warming up KatKin and raw food together in the microwave as it can alter the bacteria levels present on raw meat, so heat KatKin up separately if you’d like to serve the food warm.
