Tracking your delivery

Tracing your delivery: Follow your driver before they deliver and how to locate your box

Updated this week

When will you be able to track your delivery?

You can track your delivery closely on the date of your delivery, which is 2 days after you receive an email from DPD or Yodel letting you know they’re expecting your KatKin parcel.

Note! Replying directly to DPD or Yodel delivery emails won’t reach us here at KatKin. For any delivery questions, please contact our Cat Experts directly.

See the timeline of emails from our delivery partners below:

Payment day

When we take a payment for a recurring order, the order is processed later that day at around 4pm. This is our cut-off for orders. Once the order is processed and sent to the kitchen, you’ll receive an email from DPD or Yodel to let you know they’re expecting a KatKin parcel.

Screenshot above shows the first email sent to a customer from DPD once an order is processed. Click ‘show my options’ to add specific delivery instructions for that parcel or use the 14 digit tracking number. This email address ‘[email protected]’ is owned by DPD and can’t receive replies.

Packing day

The day after your order is processed and sent to the kitchen, our packing team will box up your order and give it to DPD or Yodel. It will be shipped to your local depot overnight, to be delivered the following day. You can start to track the stage of your delivery at this point.

Delivery day

DPD will then send you a 1 hour delivery slot on the day of your delivery. Yodel will send a 2 hour delivery slot for litter deliveries. Usually this is sent in the morning, but it can sometimes be as late as 1pm. This is the day you can start to track your delivery closely.

Screenshot above shows 1 hour delivery time-slot sent by DPD on the day of a delivery. Click ‘Show me’ to select delivery options if you’re not in, such as leave in a safe place or deliver to a neighbour.

Image above shows a Yodel email confirming a 2 hour time-slot on the day of a delivery. Click ‘Track and manage this delivery’ to set a safe place or choose a preferred pick up location. Click ‘Set my preferences for next time’ to create an account with Yodel and save your preferences.

How to track your deliveries

Download our couriers apps:

The best way to stay up to date with deliveries is by downloading the app for our couriers. Log in with the same email address you use for KatKin.

📱 DPD's App (for fresh food and litter orders)

📱Yodel's App (for some litter orders of 2 bags of less)

If we’ve taken a payment from you in the last 48 hours and you’ve received a confirmation email to say that DPD or Yodel is expecting your KatKin parcel, your delivery should automatically start being trackable in the app.

📱From the app you can:

  • Turn on notifications for deliveries

  • Track your delivery (on the day it’s being delivered)

  • See how many stops away your driver is

  • Check your scheduled 1 hour delivery slot (2 hours if Yodel is delivering your litter)

  • Add a permanent note to help drivers find your house (such as gate codes or directions)

  • Pinpoint your exact location or add your what3words. Find your W3W here.

  • Add a photo of your house to help drivers identify your property

  • Select a preferred neighbour for boxes to be delivered to (such a neighbour who knows the box contains perishable food)

  • A set safe space for deliveries when you’re not home

  • For litter orders (not fresh) select a pick up point to collect non-perishable parcels

  • Tell the courier if you need more time to answer the door

What to do if you have a delivery problem

We're so sorry to hear that your delivery hasn't gone as smoothly as it should have done. To help troubleshoot and get a solution organised for you as quickly as possible:

While you’re waiting for your delivery

We always recommend keeping a few trays in your freezer spare as safety stock, in case of a delivery emergency. We don’t deliver on Sundays or Mondays, so unfortunately if there’s a delay with your delivery on a Friday or Saturday, we won’t be able to get a replacement box out to you until Tuesday at the earliest.

The trays keep for up to 9 months in the freezer (just check their best before date at the bottom), so keeping a few trays as back up can be helpful.

If you’re completely out of KatKin in between deliveries, we have a few options to help:

  1. Cook plain boiled chicken (or your cat’s preferred meat of choice) at home. Just simply cook plain chicken breast in water and shred it up for your cat, and it will be similar to KatKin temporarily.

  2. Check out our retail locations to grab some individual KatKin trays from Pets at Home or Jollyes.

For separate deliveries of two+ boxes

If you have multiple boxes out for delivery on the same day, they might not be delivered together by the same driver. If your boxes are on different vans, you should still be able to log in to your DPD or Yodel app and track the remaining box.

You don't have to be in to receive the boxes, if there's a safe space for the driver to leave the package they will. Our eco-friendly insulated boxes are designed to keep our fresh food at temperature for up to 48 hours from packing – no matter the weather. As long as they’re cold to the touch, your trays can be put back in the freezer when you get home, even if they’re not frozen solid.
