At KatKin, we currently have seven fresh recipes for your cat to enjoy. Each one is complete and balanced, made from 100% human-quality meat and fish, and suitable for cats of all ages. Every recipe is formulated by our board-certified veterinary nutritionist and gently cooked to preserve nutrients and flavour, because fresh food gives cats the natural nourishment they are built for.
Our recipes:
Cluck - fresh, 100% gently-cooked chicken thigh, liver and heart
Gobble - fresh, 100% gently-cooked turkey thigh, liver and chicken thigh and gizzards
Quack - fresh, 100% gently-cooked duck meat, gizzards, liver and chicken heart and thigh
Mooo - fresh, 100% gently-cooked beef trim, heart and liver
Splash - fresh, 100% gently-cooked whitefish, salmon and turkey liver
Oink - fresh, 100% gently-cooked pork shoulder, trim and liver
Baaa - fresh, 100% gently-cooked lamb heart, trim and liver
Baaa is available once your cat reaches one year old. If you tell us during sign-up that your cat is still a kitten, Baaa will not appear in their trial box. Once they turn one, it will be available to add to their next delivery.
What about additional nutrients?
Some cat food companies take an “everything and the kitchen sink” approach. Their recipes rely on fillers and plant-based ingredients that are not right for carnivore cats, then add a long list of synthetic vitamins and minerals afterwards to make the food seem nutritious.
At KatKin, we take a different path. We start with 100% human-quality meat and fish, because that is where cats naturally get most of their nutrients. From there, our board-certified veterinary nutritionist has designed a precise KatKin Nutrient Mix that complements each recipe. The mix is carefully tailored to the meats we use, only adding what is needed, never more. It is a more technical way to formulate, but it is the right way for cats.
Every KatKin recipe is complete and balanced, meeting FEDIAF guidelines for cat nutrition. These standards are regularly reviewed by expert nutritionists as new research becomes available, and we make sure our formulations stay up to date with the latest science.
Our Nutrient Mix includes key nutrients such as:
Calcium and phosphorus for bone health, balanced uniquely in each recipe.
Taurine for heart, vision and digestive health.
Vitamins A, D, E, B1, B9 and B12 to support immunity, energy, and growth.
Minerals like zinc, iron, manganese, copper and iodine for cell health and metabolism.
We only use human-grade nutrients in highly absorbable forms, with no fillers, hidden additives or inactive ingredients. Each batch is mixed by a human supplement manufacturer and tested for even distribution and safety.
This level of care ensures that every recipe is not just nutritious but optimised for your cat’s natural biology. Fresh is not just better; it is what cats are meant to eat.

How much do the recipes weigh?
Every cat is unique, so we tailor each portion to your cat’s calorie needs rather than using a one-size-fits-all weight. This personalised approach makes sure your cat gets the right amount of energy to stay healthy and happy.
Because we portion by calories, the weight of each tray can vary slightly. For example, 300 kcal of Oink will not weigh the same as 300 kcal of Cluck, because each meat has a different calorie density.
You can find the total weight for each of your cat’s recipes printed on the bottom of their food tray. This shows the combined weight of both halves of the tray.
If you have not tried KatKin yet and want to know what that means for your cat, our Cat Experts can help you understand portion sizes and recommend the best recipe mix for their needs.
